Rachele fan art

A fanart of Rachele, wonderful girl created by a very dear friend of mine: huge talented artist, mistress of a new and unique drawing style, whose name is destined to echoes in the comic’s world: Valentina Zeppa, mostly known by the web as Vale Luche.

Rachele is a former peace of the story “Come mi vedi?” (literally translation: “How do you see me?”), the ouverture of the Valentina’s triumph rising, a story that achieved to the final stage of the Lucca Contest 2012. I won’t leave any spoiler regarding this story but the fact that it’s sincerely touching and we do all hope for it to reach the place it deserves in the comics world.

Rachele is a character really hard to represent in my opinion: ethereal but deep, thin but detailed, fragile but powerful. Having this picture on your mind can easily let you realize how hard it can be to represent her graphically (consider in the calculation that I just love
Rachele and the very sense of duty behind the quest of a tribute is overwhelming!); but from a deeper point of view, it is incredibly easy, almost spontaneous, the birth of poetry verses; verses I wrote down below the picture. For those of you who do intend poetry, if after the reading your first thinking will be like, you know, burn the freaking verses, I invite you to chill out: as you can see taking a look at my blog, I aim to be a drawer, not a poet. So please, focus on the picture and take the verses for what they really are: estrus, a mere frame whose attempt is just show part of the Rachele and the “Come mi vedi?” story’s soul, to which I dedicate this fanart, hoping I did manage to respect their heart and their authoress's.

I invite you to take a good look at the Vale’s blog, I ensure you won’t be disappointed:

Translation of the verses
(as poetry words, I'm sorry if I won't be able to express the very meaning and impact they have in italian):

"The black synapses of the vilest mental constructions

tentacular spawn of Weakness, shade of Death, and Cruelty, beast of Heart.

 Chains.

For their dark due of constriction they slash the soul's wrists"

New "chibi" characters

Two sample characters for a school homework: realize a children magazine. The theme I've choosen for the magazine is zoology, the age target is 9-14. The characters will be protagonists of the comic section of the magazine and will fill the pages within the articles and occasionally leave a message to the young readers.
